Social Practice IV is a competency-based English textbook especially written for Bachillerato students according to the Reforma Integral de la Educacion Media Superior (RIEMS). The contents are organized into units that develop competencies through the building of knowledge on the learner's part with various types of activities that include technology experiences. The learner has plenty of opportunities to develop social practices such as exchanging information and team problem solving through the use of English in order to develop his/her communicative competence in a second language. Evaluation is oriented by the units of competence, achievement indicators and the learning evidence of the Bachillerato program.   This is a book that invites learners to adopt a responsible and critical attitude towards the linguistic and intercultural knowledge of the English language and its application in their everyday as well as their school lives. It is important to stress that competencies and knowledge are carried out through the development of social practices in English.
